Short answer
There isn't one number. Cost depends on the job, so the only accurate answer is a quote based on your plans and Special Inspection Certificate.
What affects cost
Scope: how much work the certificate covers. Number of visits: pours, welding days and inspections that must be continuous rather than periodic. Disciplines: concrete, rebar, welding, bolting, anchors, masonry, firestopping. Travel: where the job sits, from the Loop 202 in Mesa to past the I-10 and Loop 303. After-hours: night, weekend and early-morning pours.
How to keep it down
Group the inspections with the schedule. Call 24 hours ahead. Have the work ready when the inspector shows up, because a trip where nothing is ready still costs a trip.
City of Phoenix approved inspectors for all your special inspection needs.
